About

This blog is going to be an experiment for me.  Will having an outlet help me cope? This whole blog may just turn into a self indulgant rant, but as I go into it, I sincerely hope that it does not. I detest self pity, and I hope that anyone who reads this will forgive me for what Im sure will sound like perpetual complaining.

Now a little about me. Im in my early twenties, and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis four years ago. I have been struggling with this disease. I consider myself a  very upbeat person. I’ve always felt like I have coped very well with my lot and have always felt very blessed for the good things I do have in my life.

After four years of this, I am beginning to be worn down. I am not proud to admit that, but Im hoping that this will change. Maybe with the help of this journal, I will be able to keep a better track of my emotions and attitudes.

I’m going to try and keep this blog mostly R.A. related but there is more to me besides my health.

I love all things Art. I enjoy drawing, and painting qnd I love art history. Also, Im an amatuer photographer. It’s one of my favorite things to do.

I love studying History and would love to work in a museum someday. Im also really interested in evolutionary biology and Richard Dawkins is my hero.

I have always been a voracious reader. I used to get in so much trouble when I was in elementary school because I would stay up all night reading. It’s one habit I have never broken. In my opinion there is nothing in the world better than a good book.

I have a jack russell terrier who is like a child to me. She is very protective. I recently had knee surgery and she sits next to my leg and guards it. If anyone touches my leg, she will bark at them. I’ve spent alot of time at home and she manages to keep me entertained and is very good at chearing me up.

I have a million hobbies. And they change frequently. At the moment I have been teaching myself to knit and have been learning to speak French. And I have my next hobby planned out. As soon as my knees are in good shape, I am going to buy a Vespa Scooter.

  1. I sincerly believe that there is a solution to your problem. You are too young to feel so despondent. Green Lipped Mussel Extract from New Zealand has undergone several trials. It has been reported to be of benefit for Rheumatoid as well as Osteo arthritis. In my opinion the reason it works for Rheumatoid, is because it strengthens the immune system besides providing building blocks for body joints. The most important thing is that it does not cause any side effects such as digestive disorders. If oyu need more information on this please feel free to mail me.

  2. I love your site. Keep it up !
